How do we do to live better?

We are so different and have particular and unique conditions. We wake up at different hours have different schedules and we go to sleep uneven also.  We all go through happy moments, deceptions, anger, fear and all sorts of situations and emotions.

How do we stay put and positive to complete all these tasks.  My secret is meditation and the power to envision all sorts of targets and barriers I want to break. I take a moment every morning after my alarm starts to the point I sit up.

I count, I plan, I project how my day should look like.  Better said how I want my day to look like.  I get it done most of the times also I just miss it sometimes but the majority of what I plan in the morning I complete with pride. I recently started to set the hour of going to sleep. I just make myself resist to a certain hour, practically this is the phrase I use – I will stay up until x time of day and have the enough energy to complete all my tasks. Sounds very robotic but it gets my work done.

With the hectic pace and demands of modern life, many people feel stressed and over-worked. It often feels like there is just not enough time in the day to get everything done. Our stress and tiredness make us unhappy, impatient and frustrated. It can even affect our health. We are often so busy we feel there is no time to stop and meditate! But meditation actually gives you more time by making your mind calmer and more focused. A simple ten or fifteen minute breathing meditation as explained below can help you to overcome your stress and find some inner peace and balance.

Meditation can also help us to understand our own mind. We can learn how to transform our mind from negative to positive, from disturbed to peaceful, from unhappy to happy. Overcoming negative minds and cultivating constructive thoughts is the purpose of the transforming meditations found in the Buddhist tradition. This is a profound spiritual practice you can enjoy throughout the day, not just while seated in meditation.

There are so many books talking about the same subject over and over, not everybody can do it. You need persistence and perseverance and stick to your plans everyday. I struggle but at the end of the day I don’t think about that I only think about the things I learned and how my brain got smarter and what new experiences I have been enhanced with.

There are many ways of doing this, positions, smells,  perfumes, aphrodisiacs etc.  I just don’t have the time and money to put into that, I just find a comfortable position, listen to my breathing, count until I  control my breath and find myself in a comfort zone and just put my mind to work and plan. It helps if you use your favourite perfume touching the underneath of your nose.

Give it a try.  Might change the way you live.
